CEU Recommendation: Executive Modification in Home Modifications

Back to my blog home page: http://travelingotr.blogspot.com

I'd like to put a plug in for a great certification program.

I participated in this program in 2011. If you're looking for an interesting and interactive CEU program, consider USC's

Executive Certification in
Home Modifications.

...and gues what??
The next series starts in January 2015!

This is a 5-course online CEU program for therapists who identify modifications in the home to allow clients to age in place.
The first course covers the basics about home modifications.
Course two teaches you how to choose a contractor, read architectural plans and complete an evaluation.
Course three educates you about funding and financing of home modifications in the community.
Course four engages you in how to raise community awareness. Course five raises the ethical issues that you might encounter as you work with people requiring home mods.

I learned so much from this set of courses! I highly recommend the Certification, and I hope you'll write to give your comments after you've completed the series.

For those who are certified or those interested in home modifications: also found on this website is the National Directory of Home Modification and Repair Resources. You never know when referencing this website may lead to a client's ability to return home because you found a resource to help them.
